"Who are we?" is an independent film project situated around family films from the early '00s. The approach of this film isn't to tell a story about what or who is seen in the films, rather to get a feel of family dynamics. The relationship between the camera and the "actors" or subjects (depends on how you want to call them) has a complex dynamic. The man behind the camera verbally asks one question throughout the whole film: "who are you?". Whist simultaneously interfering in what is happening, how it is happening or even staging a whole scene. The feeling of wanting to define yourself is present throughout the whole film. The family films are mixed with talking heads of the subjects giving context to the images.
